Valdemar Farm is located in Fort Lupton, Colorado, about 35 minutes northeast of Denver. We have 10 acres to work with. We have a 50' by 100' duck arena, an 80' by 100' arena, a 60' round pen, a 140' by 300' arena and a 6 acre pasture for training and trialing.
I raise all the sheep and am currently crossing Dorper rams to Katahdin and crossbred wool ewes. I've been pleased with the type of lamb I'm getting. They're fast to mature, good-sized and fairly docile. I try to raise a less reactive sheep that will be good for starting all kinds of dogs.
We have several trials here each year and I also try to host at least one clinic a year. We have a nice site that is easy to get to from anywhere on the Front Range of Colorado, ample parking, some shade and electricity.
